And the winner is ...................... Speech Debelle. I have to be honest, I was hoping those 5 lads from Southend would win the prize. Nonetheless, congratulations girl, hope you had lots of fun celebrating! PS any thoughts on Tom Kasabian's new haircut? I'm in two minds. PPS can't believe they don't play the whole show anymore - an utter disgrace!!!

Mercury Prize - The shortlist

Blimey, thats rolled round quick! It only seems like yesterday that Elbow picked up their prize. So its that time of year again, with the announcement of the shortlist, and late night discussions with friends about who we wanted to win and who we thought would win.
