Vampire Weekend play Friday

Glastonbury takes place this weekend and it also celebrates it's 40th anniversary this summer. Hope the sun shines for all you music lovers and you get to see all your fav bands, discover new bands, make new friends, witness the strange and wonderful and basically have the best weekend of your life. For those of us not going, at least we've got BBC2 for highlights. Enjoy and Happy Friday x

Football can be an emotional game, full of ups and downs. So, if your male friend becomes over emotional, do give him a shoulder to cry on and offer to buy him some chip or another pint. Hopefully this will do the trick. If all fails and he really is inconsolable then you will need to be tough, play him this song and tell the old boy to pull himself together. The Phenomenal Hand Clap Band are just some of the bands playing at Great Escape Brighton this weekend. With the Brighton Festival and Fringe well under way, Brighton is truly rocking this weekend! I loved the film "Walk The Line" Johnny Cash is an absolute legend. Love the beginning of this clip too - he was soooooo Punk Rock! Love it. Happy Friday x

I totally adored Olivia Newton John when I was a girl. After watching "Greece" I wanted skinny black spandex bottoms and a black body. Then after Xanadu I wanted white roller boots. Anyone watch the Brits on Wednesday? This lady gave one of the best performances of the night. Super outfit, awesome vocals and an amazing stage presence which, I felt most of the other acts lacked - apart from Jay- Z and the the lovely Alicia Keys. I love this song too, especially the chorus - pure pop heaven! Happy Friday x

First, I have chosen this piece by Philip Glass as a tribute to Lee Alexander Mcqueen. In an interview - interviewed by his Mum Joyce McQueen, he said that Glass was one of his favourite artists. This piece of music is truly beautiful. Peace x

I still love The Organ. What a HUGE shame it was they split. No one else out there sounded like them and live they were pretty amazing too. When they first came out I was in total heaven - a band that sounded like a mix of Blondie and Morrissey. A reunion someday would be Organtastic!!! Happy Friday x
